FlashMagic working on Wine with Ubuntu 14.04 64bit

A bit off topic sorry, but I cannot get FlashMagic working on Wine with Ubuntu 14.04 64bit, always get communication failed. I see led blinking, so port is oke, I think some timing issue..
Anyone has the same problem, and/or has a fix?

I use the very same Linux here.
Which programmer are you using? The current USB version I assume?
For me this programmer does not work in Linux, unfortunately.
The old serial programmer, with a USB-Serial converter cable, works for me. So I sold my USB programmer and continue using the serial programmer.
You could try if the programmer works with Flash Magic in a virtual Windows, if you have one at hands.

Yes I use the latest USB LPC programmer, so maybe an issue with the usb/serial chip on it?
I will try to connect another USB/Serial converter to the programmer to see if that works..
Didn't try VirtualBox, that's also an option... Thanks...

The FT232 chip itself works fine (at least mine), I tested it with hterm. There seems to be some problem with how Flash Magic accesses the serial status lines. Somewhere in between Flash Magic, Wine, and Linux. Too many possibilities to find the real problem, I fear.
